Title V Fee Information Meetings Scheduled for October 28
The Air Quality Bureau will hold Title V information meetings Wednesday, October 28, to discuss operating permit fees and how these and state and federal funds are spent by the Bureau.
The last Title V fee cycle prompted many questions: Why do Title V fees continue to go up even when facility emissions have gone down? Why did the fee increase so much this year? What activities do the fees fund? What is the Air Quality Bureau doing to control expenses? What can we expect next year?
Air Quality Bureau staff will address these and other questions during a discussion of the Bureau’s services and functions; funding sources; expenses and on-going efforts to reduce them; budgetary challenges; an explanation of the Title V fee-setting process and timeline; and an outline of new and upcoming obligations.
Please choose to attend one of two sessions: 10:00 am to noon or 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. at the DNR’s Air Quality Bureau, 7900 Hickman Rd., Suite 1, in Windsor Heights. To register, call Wendy Walker at (515) 281-6061 or email her at wendy.walker@dnr.iowa.gov by October 23 to ensure adequate meeting room space.
